Cancellation Policy

Wedding Ceremony Cancellation & Refund Policy Scheduling To reserve your wedding date and time, an online appointment must be made and confirmed by the wedding officiant. If the officiant does not confirm your wedding within 24 hours, an email must be sent to KnoxvilleKnot@gmail.com in attempt to contact officiant. Scheduling may require a deposit. Location The officiant cannot conduct weddings outside of the East Tennessee area. Ideal locations for weddings would be Knox County and/or surrounding counties. If couple are unsure of location, couple must contact and confirm location with officiant. If the ceremony is outside of East Tennessee, the officiant reserves the right to charge for mileage costs if necessary. Cancellations Cancellations or rescheduling made by the couple must be submitted in within 72 hours. If the ceremony is canceled prior to the scheduled wedding date, any refund of the booking or ceremony fees will be subject to the terms outlined in your service agreement. If the couple fails to appear for the scheduled ceremony without prior notice, it will be considered a cancellation, and no refund will be issued. Ceremony Completion Once the wedding ceremony has been performed and the marriage license has been signed by the couple, officiant, and any required witnesses, the service is considered complete. No refunds will be issued after the marriage license has been signed, regardless of whether the license is later filed with the county clerk. Marriage License Filing The officiant will complete the required officiant portion of the marriage license at the conclusion of the ceremony. The couple is solely responsible for filing or returning the signed marriage license to the appropriate County Clerk’s Office, unless otherwise agreed to in writing. The officiant is not responsible for filing, mailing, or delivering the marriage license, nor for any delays, lost documents, or consequences resulting from the couple’s failure to file the license. If the couple fails to properly file their completed marriage license after the ceremony, a refund will not be issued. Rescheduling Requests to reschedule are subject to availability. Every effort will be made to accommodate a new date; however, rescheduling cannot be guaranteed and may be subject to additional fees. By booking officiant services, the couple acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to this Cancellation, Scheduling, & Refund Policy.
